Blitzers melt down in Pittsburgh

FC Buffalo’s shutout streak was snapped and then some as Pittsburgh Hotspurs collected a 4-1 win at Ellis Athletic Field on Sunday.

Duquesne graduate Austin Stout had FCB even at the break with a near post finish of a Colin O’Keefe cross.

After early opportunities in the second half were blasted wide of the frame, a series of defensive lapses and rebounds allowed Pittsburgh to finish its chances and collect a straight-forward win.

Taner Bay made his FCB debut off the bench, logging a quarter hour in the midfield.

It’s a bad start to a busy week for FCB, who visits Syracuse on Wednesday evening before returning home Saturday for first-place Cleveland SC.

Both are must-wins for the Wolves.
