Phillips to suit up thrice for NPSL All-Stars

A junior college national championship, D-III Sweet Sixteen appearance, Lord Bedlington Cup game-winning goal and now a 2011 National Premier Soccer League All-Star: 6’4″ defender Corey Phillips continues his rise through soccer with lightning precision.

Phillips joins 2010 FC Buffalo All-Stars Dan Panaro and Daniel Stevens as Blitzers to be named to the All-Star squad. He will compete in multiple training sessions, professional forums, the NPSL All-Star Game and two friendlies with his All-Star teammates versus the Carolina Railhawks U-20 national champions and the USL’s Atlanta Silverbacks.

Phillips is also one of three FC Buffalo players to earn trials with professional sides. More details will be announced soon, though defender Josh Faga has already trialed with the Chicago Fire’s PDL side.

Join us in congratulating Corey for his hard work.
