FC Buffalo was done in by a pair of former Blitzers, as Luke Pavone’s second half goal complemented Cameron Hogg’s clean sheet in a 1-0 loss to the Rochester River Dogz FC at Robert E. Rich All-High Stadium on Saturday.

A terrific crowd of more than 1100 fans saw the Blitzers fail to generate much offense in the loss, winning five corner kicks and a trio of dangerous free kicks to no avail.

Goalkeeper Nick Jeffs (University of Louisville / Ottawa, Canada) was named the Rich Products’ Man of the Match for his efforts between the sticks.

FCB plays its first road game when it visits AFC Cleveland on Saturday, May 21, before returning home to face Erie Commodores on Friday, May 27 at 7 p.m.

FCB (0-1): Jeffs; McBeth, McGrath, Paredes, Brandell (Crawford, 86′); Donaldson, Toland, Steele (A. Ferguson, 65′); Winkel (Dilts, 81′), Guscott, Dimitriu (Barrett, HT).
