Witkowski scored twice and added two helpers for head coach Dan Krzyzanowicz during the 2011 FC Buffalo season. The Marist product was selected by the Philadelphia Union with the 13th pick of the second round of Major League Soccer’s 2012 supplemental draft.

Witkowski played for the Polish under-18 national team during a stand-out high school career in Rochester. Niagara University forward Carl Haworth was drafted by Montreal later in the draft.
