UWS unveils 2023 East Division schedule

FC Buffalo will try to sandwich another East Division title around its 2022 Penn-NY Division crown when head coach Nikki Bartholomew brings the women’s team back to UWS for a third summer.

Bartholomew, assisted as always by Gabe Wilson and led by returning forward Carissima Cutrona and Marcy Barberic plus a bevy of stalwarts, will have a heck of a task in navigating an 8-game schedule before an expanded playoff inside of the 17-team East Division.

The women will play home-and-away against four regional rivals in a season where every single game matters more given the smaller sample size.

The women will meet Erie County derby rivals Erie Commodores (June 11-H, July 1-A), rebirthed Rochester side Flower City 1872 (May 20-A, June 2-H), Pittsburgh’s Steel City FC (June 27-H, July 8-A), and Buffalo-based Canadian side FC Berlin (June 15-H, June 22-A).

Single-game tickets will go on sale as soon as possible, and we’re looking for youth teams to serve as ball retrievers on the sideline this season. Book your group today: wolf@fcbuffalo.org
