As part of the first Section VI and All-WNY High School Awards Dinner, FC Buffalo is happy to contribute to the growth of young students in our community by helping to present matching scholarships to high school teammates.
We’re committing to a minimum of two $250 scholarships to presented to winners of a competition aimed at identifying the best high school teammates in Western New York.
All high school seniors are eligible to participate, and a community committee will read all nominations and choose the winners. We will post nominated entries onto our web site.
Here’s what you need to do to be entered:
– Be a high school senior active on a WNY varsity soccer team for the full 2014 season.
– Write a 100-250 word essay detailing why your teammate is the best in WNY high school soccer.
– Include your name, class year, birth date, team name and teammate name.
– Email the entry to wolf@fcbuffalo.org
We’d like to improve the number of scholarships available, and are looking for corporate sponsors in the community to help out. Any businesses interested in sponsoring this event should email wolf@fcbuffalo.org to learn how they can help grow the scholarships and prop up the event.
