We’ve had the good fortune to host our football festivities at a couple of good gin joints over the past couple years and this year is certainly no exception.
If you haven’t heard of Mes Que, you’ll be thanking us gratuitously very soon. Named in honor of FC Barcelona, Mes Que is Buffalo’s first proper soccer pub and will be THE place to be to celebrate FC Buffalo matches and pivotal moments in the football world.
“The folks at Mes Que aren’t masquerading their love for the game,” said FC Buffalo co-owner Nick Mendola. “I’ve enjoyed talking soccer with Tony and company before El Clasico and the Manchester Derby. They are good people who still play the game in our city.”
Located at 1420 Hertel Avenue in Buffalo — just down the street from Robert E. Rich All-High Stadium — Mes Que is a “European-styled soccer pub” with tons of great drink and food offerings. Want roast duck breast? You’re in. How about a goat cheese and asparagus pizza? Bingo! Oak-roasted salmon? Yep.
You’ve got a pub with giant televisions and a menu managed by the folks who brought you Left Bank. PLUS, you’ll have a chance to hang with FC Buffalo staff, players and coaches for any and all soccer events this year.
When you stop in to Mes Que, thank them for being our pub in our city. And then LIKE them on Facebook. Tell them thanks for supporting FC Buffalo.
Here are some events for which we’ll be hanging out at Mes Que.
May 19: UEFA Champions League Final — Bayern Munich v. Chelsea
May 26: U.S. Men v. Scotland
June 8 – July 1: Euro 2012 (most games in the afternoon EST!)
