Krzyzanowicz adds 80+ goals in late roster moves

FC Buffalo head coach Dan Krzyzanowicz has made some sleek signings ahead of Sunday’s opener vs. Detroit City FC at Robert E. Rich All-High Stadium (7 p.m. EST; $5).

First to the roster is forward Alex Rouse, who trialed with the team in Tuesday’s friendly 1-0 loss to the Rochester Rhinos. The lanky forward ranks 17th all-time in DIII history with 80 goals, including 28 this year. Krzyzanowicz now boasts four of Medaille’s five all-time leading point scorers in Cory Cwiklinski (184), Rouse (180), Gary Boughton (152) and Kendell McFayden (102).

The team has also signed deft midfielder CJ Scirto (Buffalo State), speedy back Nekabari Tor (Roberts Wesleyan) and versatile big man Matt Brehm (Medaille). It’s expected that Krzyzanowicz will add several more roster members next week.

General manager Nick Mendola also announced that midfielder Samuel Guibert will remain home in France for an uncertain amount of time.
