FC Buffalo scored in each half to deliver a USL W League season-opening 2-0 win over Erie Sports Center FC on Tuesday at Coyer Field.

Linda Ullmark and Sarah Woods scored the goals off assists from Carissima Cutrona and Skyler Cornell as the Blitzers started new coach Greg Margolis tenure on the right foot.

Shea Vanderbosch made several big saves in keeping a clean sheet and Lizzy Harkness was named the Intense Milk Player of the Game for her 90 stalwart minutes in front of the back line.

FCB’s women are back at it Monday at home versus Flower City 1872, a day after the men open their USL League Two season at home to Erie SCFC (Get tickets here).
