NEXT HOME GAME: FCB v. FC St. Pauli !!

FC Buffalo completed its the on-field portion of its trip to Germany with a 5-1 defeat of a Dortmund XI on Friday at the grounds of SF Brackel, also known as the Dortmunder Lions.

Playing a team of top players from the same league as DSC Wanne-Eickel, who defeated FCB 2-0 on Thursday in Herne, FCB came out strong with an early goal from Argentine midfielder Martin Minuzzi.

Minuzzi added a second after Dortmund had leveled the score line, this time from a Will Warren assist.

The score stayed 2-1 into the break, and the FCB coaching staff again rang into the changes for preseason.

Johnny McBeth made it a two-goal match with a nifty dribble around the Dortmund keeper after Gary Boughton set him into the 18.

And Colin O’Keefe provided a pair of assists to finish off the scoring, setting up FCB veterans Chris Walter and Kendell McFayden for goals.

The evening capped off an incredible day for the club, which was part of a ceremony honoring the 40th Anniversary of the sister city relationship between Buffalo and Dortmund.
