FC Buffalo Roster Update

And exhale (but inhale again. There’s a match tonight).

The summer went from 0-100 real quick with the start of last week’s NPSL Members Cup, this week’s NISA Independent Cup, and the early arrival of the first order of our 2020 Change Kit, so we’ve been busy here.

Too busy, until now, to update the many changes to our squad between the suspensions of the traditional NPSL season and the talented men who’ve joined the squad for this later year run (Let’s see what follows!).

The club has confirmed the registration and clearance of three more players who were unavailable even for Friday’s win over Erie.

First, we welcome back midfielder Taner Bay (Rider University), who authored this banger of a late equalizer against Erie last season.

(Clockwise from left) Bay, Tufino, Siriboe

We also have Canadian midfielder Josh Tufino with us, the Niagara University senior joining several of his college teammates with FCBFLO.

Finally, we’ve received the international clearance for Spartak Trnava playmaker David Nkansah-Siriboe, who played his college ball at Marist and also starred in the NPSL with Kingston Stockage before moving to the Europa League and Slovak Super League side after college.

Ben Tsujimoto of The Buffalo News laid out our Members Cup roster on Friday, and we’d like to list the players who have trained with us this month who we did not announce before May:

Ali Alomari (WNY Flash Academy / Lackawanna HS)
Rocky Antwi (Niagara University)
Jonah Fogel (Shattuck St. Mary’s)
Josh Kam (Empire Academy / Rhode Island)
Ishaan Kashyap (St. John Fisher)
Jake Lenhard (Orlando City Academy)
Nino Marino (Nazareth College)
Ali Mohamed (Lackawanna FCY)
Tyler Moran (Empire Academy / DePaul)
Mo Saif (Buffalo State)
Jake Schaffer (Yale University)
Akean Shackleford (Lindsey Wilson College)
Ali Shawish (Buffalo State)

We’d also like to thank long-time FCB players Chris Walter and Troy Brady, whose leadership has been missed following injuries early in camp.

Be sure to check out MyCujoo on Wednesday evening for what could be a match-up for silverware with Cleveland SC.
