Mainstreamers, beware, you’re next.
The FC Buffalo ownership group and friends were in fine form tonight at Shea’s Performing Arts Center for Buffalo Spree Magazine’s “Best of WNY 2012 Awards”, where they accepted the organization’s annual award for “Best Nonmainstream Sports Team.”
“It’s humbling to receive an honor such as this from such a cool magazine,” said team president Nick Mendola. “It’s also rewarding to think we’re making a dent in the public conscious.”

Funny, the picture looks as big as some of the crowds at All High. If you spent as much time promoting the team instead of relentless self promotion, maybe a few more bodies would be in the seats. I think when an owner of a team is also a writer for the magazine that gives an award, it’s akin to being named prom king with your sister.
