Breakfast with Barclays Finds A New Home

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook

What started with co-owners Nick, Erik and Scott bringing bagels to Ray’s house on a Saturday morning has now morphed into something incredibly more sophisticated.

The boys called it “Breakfast with Barclays”, and would sit on the couch watching the Fox Soccer game of the week while drinking coffee and making fun of each other’s chosen EPL clubs. Beginning Sunday, the venue becomes much larger than a living room.

We’ve established a lot of wonderful things about the combination of Buffalo bars and soccer. Papa Jake’s has been a great supporter of our club and another local pub is joining the FC Buffalo family.

Hucklebuckets Family Grill and Sports Bar in Amherst’s Northtown Plaza (Sheridan and Niagara Falls Blvd) will be showing the 11 a.m. Sunday games on their big HD television sets and offering breakfast from their A-plus menu. Nick’s pregame show for NFL football was already broadcast live from the restaurant, so it only made sense to take it to the other football. Once Nick guided Hucklebuckets owner Scott Weinstein through a club-choosing process (Scott chose Chelsea), it was “on like Tron” in the words of Mendola.

We hope you’ll join us. Here are the 11 a.m. Sunday games scheduled to be shown through November:

Oct. 3 — Chelsea vs. Arsenal
Oct. 10 — No matches (international break)
Oct. 17 — Blackpool vs. Manchester City
Oct. 24 — Manchester City vs. Arsenal
Oct. 31 — Bolton vs. Liverpool (Noon)
Nov. 7 — Liverpool vs. Chelsea
Nov. 14 — Chelsea vs. Sunderland
Nov. 21 — Fulham vs. Manchester City
Nov. 28 — Tottenham vs. Liverpool
