FCB midfielder Chris Walter mans the midfield for Hartwick

Several FC Buffalo players have spent their NPSL offseasons tearing it up on pitches across the NCAA map, most of whom are having strong seasons.

Marist defender and FC Buffalo MVP Josh Faga appeared in all 11 games for Marist before a season-ending leg injury derailed his campaign during a game at Canisius. Faga anticipates coming back even stronger, while Red Foxes teammate Krystian Witkowski has scored thrice this season.

Chris Walter has started two of the 10 games in which he’s appeared for Hartwick, scoring a goal against Niagara in a match at the Soccer Hall of Fame.

Stalwart defender Jake Rinow has started all 12 games for the Cornell Big Red this season with a goal and an assist, the goal coming against Walter and Hartwick.

Penn forward Stephen Baker is setting a torrid pace with four goals and two assists, only bested by UB forward Andy Tiedt, who notched his fifth goal of the season on Friday against No. 6 in the nation Akron.

Still in high school, Jordan Dilapo has built off his 2011 Blitzers campaign by posting four shut-outs in 11 games for Orchard Park. Blitzers Matt Schuber and Mike Reidy have been productive for 8-3-3 Colgate. Reidy has a goal while Schuber has a helper. Andrew Lill has two assists and five yellow cards for La Salle.

Several Blitzers joined the coaching staff at Medaille, where FCB head coach Dan Krzyzanowicz continues to skipper the Mavericks’ mens side. Matt Stedman and Andrew Larracuente are assisting Craig Yanni on the womens team. Mike Unwin is an assistant coach at North Iowa Area Community College, where he’s helped lead the Trojans to a 14-2-2 mark.
