The 2026 USL League Two Playoffs presented by VensureHR are here, and FC Buffalo knows the first obstacle on its path to the silverware — and it’s a big one.
FCB hits Flint, Michigan this weekend for what we hope are two wins and a place in the final eight. That would require taking down four-time national champions Flint City Bucks at their home stadium on Friday.
Should the Blitzers win Friday’s 7:30pm ET kickoff against the Bucks at Kettering University’s Atwood Stadium, they’ll face the winner of Steel City and Northern Indiana at 6pm Sunday in the same stadium.
Flint have made the USL2 Playoffs in six-straight season and won the whole thing in 2019 to add to titles in 2006, 2014, and 2016. Their status as our opponent also means forward Leon Tezuka — who was with Flint earlier this season — will not be eligible to start Friday’s game.
The game will stream on Flint City’s Sports Engine Play channel, and we’ll alert you to any watch parties back in Buffalo. At the moment, we’ve been told that a group of supporters are meeting at Ulrich’s Tavern for the game while the Banshee Irish Pub have also said they’ll be streaming the game for fans.
