For Friday’s new player Q&A sessions, we meet a trio of players set to leave for two weeks in England with Stu Riddle’s University at Buffalo men’s soccer program. As three of four current Bulls on the roster, we catch up with a trio of Kiwis from New Zealand.

Let’s get alphabetical.

First up: Scott Doney

How would you describe yourself as a player, and what players in the world at your position do you admire?

I would describe myself as a target man up front, good in the air and finishing. Can hold the ball up to bring others into play. I am a hard worker and will get back and help out the defense for corners etc. Players I watch that are good at this are players like Peter Crouch and Didier Drogba who are very strong up front.

Scott DoneyWhat do you like to do away from soccer?

I like to hang out with friends, play FIFA, basketball.

What’s your most memorable soccer experience?

My most memorable experience would have been winning the secondary school auckland premiership with my high school in New Zealand. But I think this trip to England with the Bulls men’s soccer team will surpass that.

What’s your most memorable non-soccer experience?

Probably some of my experiences in New Zealand such as sky diving or bungee jumping or snow boarding.

What’s something fans should know about you?

I love games with a great atmosphere where the crowd is really loud all game.

Next up: Cameron Hogg

How would you describe yourself as a player, and what players in the world at your position do you admire?

I’m a goalkeeper with a strong physical and vocal presence. Neuer is a keeper I admire and I try to bring his sweeper keeper style to my own game.

Cameron HoggWhat do you like to do away from soccer?

Away from soccer I like to snowboard and spearfish when I’m home in New Zealand.

What’s your most memorable soccer experience?

Most memorable soccer experience is playing for the NZ secondary schools team against England in the UK and earning man of the match in a 1-1 draw.

What’s your most memorable non-soccer experience?

Spearfishing off the coast of New Zealand with sharks in the water.

What’s something fans should know about you?

The fans should know that I’m a loud presence in goal and they will always be hearing my voice.

Last but not least: Fox Slotemaker
