Playoff hopes end with a whimper

FCB’s next home match comes Tuesday, July 10 against North Mississauga SC. Admission is $8 at the door, $7 presale.

FC Buffalo’s Erie County Derby disappointment multiplied by two on Friday, falling to four-star Erie Commodores for the second time this season.

Erie scored twice in each half to record a 4-0 win in front of a terrific crowd a Robert Rich Sr. All-High Stadium.

The Wolves never recovered from a slow start for the second-straight week, and can no longer catch Erie or Cleveland SC for one of two East Division playoff spots.

FCB center back Euan Bauld served a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation in the loss, while Jake Cooper made his 23rd club appearance to climb into FCB’s Top Ten in matches played.

The night was FCB’s Courage of Carly fundraiser, sponsored by downtown restaurants Frankie Primo’s +39 and Soho Buffalo, and we’re excited to tabulate how much you raised for the cause.
