It’s a three-spot for today’s new player profiles, as a trio from coach Matt Viggiano‘s Marist Red Foxes are under the microscope. Outside back Kevin Kappock, defensive midfielder Dylan MacVane and attacker Erik Dahl let us know a little bit more about themselves.
Let’s get alphabetical.
First up: Erik Dahl
How would you describe yourself as a player, and what players in the world at your position do you admire?
I am a player who is at his best when I have the ball at my feet facing the opponents goal. My strengths include good technique, speed, endurance and eye for the game. I was a huge fan of Kaká when he was at his prime, nowadays I admire Isco, Mario Götze and Cristiano Ronaldo.
What do you like to do away from soccer?
Away from soccer I like hang around friends, watch movies and travel to whatever place there are nice beaches and good food.
What’s your most memorable soccer experience?
The happiness I felt stepping on the field again 9 months after tearing my ACL in 2011.
What’s your most memorable non-soccer experience?
Scuba diving in Thailand and suddenly seeing a shark swim by.
What’s something fans should know about you?
Other than playing soccer I am currently studying biomedical sciences in the hope of getting accepted to medical school.

How would you describe yourself as a player, and what players in the world at your position do you admire?
I’m an attacking creative right back. I like Philipp Lahm and Dani Alves.
What do you like to do away from soccer?
I like the boardwalk and the beach.
What’s your most memorable soccer experience?
Winning a U-18 academy national championship with PDA in the Stubhub Center (Home of the Los Angeles Galaxy).
What’s your most memorable non-soccer experience?
Graduating high school.
What’s something fans should know about you?
I’ve played in Belgium, France, and Austria with the New York Red Bulls.
Last but not least: Dylan MacVane
How would you describe yourself as a player, and what players in the world at your position do you admire?
Composed possession orientated player who likes to play tiki-taka. I admire Xabi Alonso for holding midfielder and Gerard Pique when I’m playing center back.
What do you like to do away from soccer?
I like to play Ultimate Team on Fifa 15 and listen to music. The Weeknd is my favorite artist.
What’s your most memorable soccer experience?
Moving across the country at the age of 14 to Arizona to play for Real Salt Lake Academy. I was officially on my own with no parenting, with teammates I have never met before from all over the country. The training, friendships that were created, and the academy competition was something I’ll never forget.
What’s your most memorable non-soccer experience?
Soccer has been my whole life since the beginning but if there was an experience that sticks out it would probably be going to see Drake and The Weeknd perform.
What’s something fans should know about you?
I’m here to win on and off the field. On the field with FC Buffalo and off the field in FIFA 15.
