Backs, meet wall.

FC Buffalo never got out of neutral in its third match in seven days, falling 3-0 to first place Cleveland SC at Robert Rich Sr. All-High Stadium on Saturday.

The loss puts FCB six points back of Cleveland, who has played one more match. Second place Rochester has three more points than FCB, but has played one fewer match.

The Wolves still play both teams, and can qualify for the playoffs but have wasted a chance to control its destiny in the race for first.

First up, coach Frank Butcher’s team will travel to Erie to face the rival Commodores on Friday before returning home to face Rochester at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday.

The match, our home regular season finale, will be Supporter Appreciation Day. Fans will have a chance to win a trip to Cleveland. Learn more here.Follow @FCBuffalo
