Carissima Cutrona had a goal and an assist but it wasn’t enough to secure a second-straight trip to the UWS National Championship weekend following a 4-2 loss to Lancaster Inferno at Williamsville South Athletic Field on Saturday.

The Wolves led 1-0 after Cutrona set up a Morgan Kulniszewski goal and 2-1 after Woods cued up a Cutrona rocket early in the second half, but simply ran out of fuel for multiple reasons late in the game.

FCB was down multiple starters due to significant family commitments and had only three available subs, one being backup goalkeeper/assistant coach Gabrielle Wilson, after the league made a last-minute denial of month-long registration efforts for multiple new players.

FCB’s season finishes at nine wins and the one loss, an incredible run that should only serve to inspire a strong 2024 from coaches Nikki Bartholomew and Ruhland. Our club wishes to express massive amounts of gratitude to all involved in our women’s program.
