FC Buffalo took a pair of second-half leads but a stoppage-time penalty foiled their bid for all three points in a 2-2 draw with Steel City FC at Founders Field in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
A scoreless, hot first half yielded several changes early in the second half, and one of them produced a goal in combination with a pair of starters.
Skylar Cornell turned with the ball at the center circle and cut a terrific pass to Eileen Solomon, who one-touched a pass with perfect speed for new introduction Lindsey Lenhard to tuck past the keeper.

Steel City had a quick answer to make it 1-1, but Gianna Tuzzolino’s terrific burst around the right side to drive a loose ball toward goal ended with a fine bouncing shot inside the far post for 2-1.
FCB looked set to see out the win when a late foul inside the box allowed Steel City the chance to equalize from the spot in the third minute of stoppage time, and the hosts rolled their penalty home to claim a point.
FCB moves to 1-1-1 on the season, and heads back to Pittsburgh on Sunday to meet Pittsburgh Riveters at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
They’ll then return home for a June 11 match with Cleveland Force.
