The new location features bleacher seating on both sides of the field, ample parking, a video board, and a new playing surface. This move will provide fans with new opportunities to supplement their pre-game and post-game experiences by visiting nearby restaurants and businesses.

“We are committed to creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all fans,” said Nick
Mendola, co-owner of FC Buffalo. “We believe that the FCB experience is more than just a game. It’s an opportunity to bring people together and build community, and our team is dedicated to making sure every fan that comes to our games feels valued and appreciated, whether they’re a lifelong supporter or a first-time visitor.”

Stepping Up to USL League Two

With more than 80 teams spread across the United States and Canada, USL League Two is renowned for its high level of competition and development of young talent. The league also offers an exciting platform for fans to enjoy soccer in their local communities. With affordable ticket prices and a family-friendly atmosphere, USL League Two gives fans opportunities to experience soccer’s rising stars while growing the game through its network of local clubs.

“This is a major milestone for our club, and it represents the next major step in building a top-flight soccer club in Western New York,” said Mendola. “We’re excited to compete against some of the best talent in the country, and we’re determined to represent Buffalo and our fans with the same pride and passion that has always defined our club and our city.”

Appointment of New Men’s Head Coach

FC Buffalo has introduced Casey Derkacz as its new men’s head coach for the 2023 season. With
his wealth of experience and passion for the game, Coach Derkacz will lead FC Buffalo to deliver
a brand of soccer that elevates players and excites fans.

Derkacz has been the associate head coach for the University at Buffalo women’s soccer program for the past six seasons and played collegiately for Penn State and UB.

“I’m excited to join FC Buffalo and lead this talented group of players to new heights,” said Derkacz. “My commitment to holistic player development and community engagement aligns perfectly with the club’s values, and I look forward to contributing to the team’s success both on and off the field.”

New Business Partnerships for 2023

FC Buffalo has secured two new business partnerships that will help strengthen and elevate the club’s brand. The Martin Group has joined FC Buffalo as the official kit sponsor for its women’s and men’s teams. With its breadth of expertise in sports and lifestyle marketing, the Buffalo-based integrated communications firm will empower the club to showcase its excellence and engage fans in new ways.

Additionally, FC Buffalo has partnered with international sport and lifestyle brand Puma as its official supplier, offering high-quality and stylish gear that reflects the team’s identity and values.

“In Western New York, sports bring our communities together — and no sport is growing faster
right now than soccer,” said Tod Martin, Chairman and CEO of The Martin Group. “Across the
U.S. and around the world, this game is gaining fans at an incredible pace. Now is the time for
this city to invest in FC Buffalo’s rise and help our club emerge as a top side in USL League Two
and a top brand in the beautiful game. This partnership will go deeper than our brand on the
kits, as we plan to assist behind-the-scenes to support FC Buffalo’s growth.”

Once unveiled, FC Buffalo jerseys will be available for purchase through Buffalo retailer Dave & Adam’s, online through the team’s website and on-site at home games. As the season progresses, FC Buffalo will be announcing more partnerships that will bring added value to fans and the community.

“We are grateful for the support of our new sponsors as we gear up for the 2023 season. It’s partnerships like these that enable our club to bring an exciting brand of soccer to our fans,” said Mendola. “FC Buffalo promises to deliver an unforgettable season, as we continue to deepen our commitment to community involvement and player development. Both the men’s and women’s teams are ready to take the field and show what they can do, and we can’t wait to see our supporters filling the stands and cheering them on.”
