Youth Program and Communications Coordinator
Liz Mantel — Hey, I’m Liz. My first summer in Buffalo years ago was spent going to FC Buffalo games with my friends and I’ve been hooked ever since! Soccer has always been part of my life, but these days I make far better spectator than a player.
I grew up in Ohio playing in youth leagues, travel teams, and high school before going to school at Bowling Green State University where I played rugby. After college, I even tried my hand in some adult leagues which was a great way to make friends in new places until my ACL told me otherwise. I’m so excited to be back in the soccer world and look forward to working with your team to ensure our youth programs are serving your needs and growing our WNY soccer community. Camps and Clinics
FC Buffalo’s players need to make a little money in the summer, and the guys regularly take coaching sessions and oversee youth classes.
The players coach every level, from beginner to advanced players. See below for details:
Summer week-long camps — FCB players work with several youth clubs for their summer camps, none more in-focus than UB Soccer Camps. Running from late June and deep into July, the camps are overseen by FCB assistant coach and UB associate coach Casey Derkacz. They run from junior camps (Pre-K to 4th grade) to advanced (4th-12th grade).
Individual and team training sessions — Want one or more of our players to come run your team’s training session? Or does your child prefer some 1v1 teaching?
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the form to find out how your team or child can learn from the area’s top players and minds.
