Wolves rally to draw Lions in Lafayette

FC Buffalo overcame a 2-0 deficit to boost a point from its first road match of the season, staying unbeaten with a 2-2 draw at FC Indiana Lions on Friday night.

A pair of fine Lions (0-1-1) shots allowed the hosts to take a two-goal leads, but Derek Maier (Canisius College // Clarence, N.Y.) scored just before halftime to narrow the gap to 2-1.

Then Brett Larocque (Bryant University // Ottawa, Ontario) scored within moments of subbing on for Maier to tie the score, but FCB (1-0-2) couldn’t find the winner despite out-shooting Indy by a 4:1 margin.

Erik Dahl (Marist College // Helsingborgs, Sweden) assisted on both FCB goals.

The Wolves are off on Saturday, but finish the two-game road trip with a 2 p.m. ET match at Indiana Fire on Sunday.
