Tiedt turned collector just after halftime when he latched onto a 50-yard pass from Ryan Walter (Buffalo, N.Y. // SUNY Binghamton), who buried a half-volley to make the score 2-0.

ZAFC halved their deficit in the 85th minute when John Barr put a long rebound into the back of the net.

It was the first win for FCB head coach Brendan Murphy. FCB goalkeeper Kareem Gray made five saves for the Blitzers. Tiedt was named Man of the Match with his goal and helper in just over 55 minutes played.
