Postponed Detroit match rescheduled for July 9

FC Buffalo’s season will now play out in extra-congested fashion after Sunday’s postponement of the Detroit City match due to lightning.

The rescheduled date and time of a 5pm kickoff on July 9 at Canisius College’s Demske Sports Complex gives FCB 10 matches in 30 days, beginning with Friday’s home game against AFC Cleveland.

We recognize the Wednesday game date provides a challenge to the Northern Guard and the great crowd of Detroit City FC fans who visited, so we will honor tickets on that day or the next FC Buffalo home match against DCFC. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, but our short season gives us very little recourse.

As for home supporters, we will honor all tickets from Sunday’s match on July 9.

The scoreless match was called at the 23:31 mark. We still do not know whether we’ll start over or begin from the point of postponement (though honestly we expect the former).

See you Friday at Canisius against AFC Cleveland. Kickoff is at 7pm and we plan on playing an entire match of soccer.
