Murphy adds second assistant for 2014

FC Buffalo head coach Brendan Murphy has filled out his coaching staff for 2014 with the addition of assistant coach Nate Stern, a former Wolves player in 2010.

“I am happy to welcome Nate Stern to our coaching staff this year,” Murphy said. “He will be a great addition who has had a ton of experience playing in the NPSL and coming out of a very successful career at Mercyhurst.

“Nate will help in the scouting department as well as player and match analysis, along with assisting in all other game and training day duties.”

A former FC Buffalo player under Jim Hesch in 2010, Stern carries the rare distinction of also playing for the Erie Admirals.

Nate graduated from Mercyhurst College in 2013 after a 4-year career that saw him appear in 56 games for coach Dale White. Stern now is an assistant coach at his alma mater, Newfane High School, under FCB assistant Bob Roach.
