FC Buffalo’s players need to make a little money in the summer, and the guys regularly take coaching sessions and oversee youth classes.

This summer, Sweet Home Schools are graciously allowing FC Buffalo to expand its summer youth program throughout the community, and the club’s players will also help run the boys side of the University at Buffalo’s summer soccer camps.

The players coach every level, from beginner to advanced players. See below for details:

FC Buffalo Junior Academy at Sweet Home — Let FCB’s players build love for the game into your child via three six-week sessions at Sweet Home High School, where the team trains all summer long. All classes include an age-appropriate ball, tee shirt, and award.

We focus on the global development of each child (social, emotional, and motor skills) and all classes are co-ed. The first half of youth academy class works on targeted skills, with the second half a small-sided game focusing on those specific skills.

These sessions are extremely limited as FCB only has so many players available per training session. Email: nick@fcbuffalo.org for more details.

Summer week-long camps — FCB players work with several youth clubs for their summer camps, none more in-focus than UB Soccer Camps. Running from late June and deep into July, the camps are overseen by FCB assistant coach and UB associate coach Casey Derkacz. They run from junior camps (Pre-K to 4th grade) to advanced (4th-12th grade).

FCB’s next home match comes Friday, May 18 against Fort Pitt Regiment. Admission is $8 at the door, $7 presale, or discounted deeper as part of our season ticket packages.
