Second up: Matthew Ferguson

How would you describe yourself as a player, and what players in the world at your position do you admire?

I would describe myself as a very attack minded player. Even when I am playing in the back four, my intent is always to go forward and help in the attack as much as possible. A player who really inspires me at the outside back position Marcelo from Real Madrid. The player who inspires me the most is Cristiano Ronaldo because of his unmatchable work ethic and unbelievable skills.

What do you like to do away from soccer?

Away from soccer I am an aspiring tattoo artist and I also play basketball.

What’s your most memorable soccer experience?

My most memorable soccer experience is from the time I spent in Spain with DPSoccer Academy. We were down went back and forth with a team from Portugal and came out with the 3-2 win to push us into the knock-out rounds of the tournament. It was a great experience that I will never forget.

What’s your most memorable non-soccer experience?

My most memorable non-soccer experience would have to be when my high school basketball team won the championship. We were the underdogs and managed to prove everyone wrong in front of a massive crowd.

What’s something fans should know about you?

I am a very hard working and motivated soccer player. I love playing in front of a big crowd and love facing adversity. I thrive in “crunch-time” situations.
