FCB grabs road draw to move into Top 4

The Rust Belt Derby will stay in Detroit after Saturday’s 1-1 away draw against AFC Cleveland, but the more important detail from the match is that FC Buffalo has pulled into a playoff spot with the point gained.

Goalkeeper Andrew Coughlin was again stellar between the sticks, and Andrew Ferguson converted a Fox Slotemaker-won penalty kick to give FCB its goal.

The match was incredibly testy, and FC Buffalo was handed seven of the match’s nine yellow cards, a club record.

FCB is next in action on Friday at Erie, before Sunday’s second leg of the Upstate NY Derby, at home to Greater Binghamton FC. The first leg went 1-1 in Binghamton.
