FCB comes back to draw Rochester

Cameron Emerson scored on debut as FC Buffalo came back to draw the Rochester Lancers 1-1 at Robert Rich Sr. All-High Stadium on Saturday.

The Wolves fell behind despite a 9-2 first half advantage in shots when William Stone’s individual effort bested FCB in stoppage time.

But Emerson was at the back post for Gary Boughton’s cross in the 69th minute to knot things up. Despite myriad chances and a 20-5 advantage in shots, the hostsĀ couldn’t find the winner.

Chris Walter was sent off for FCB in an early second half battle with Antonio Manfut of Rochester, who was also sent to the stands.

In an odd statistic, Cameron Hogg’s performance gave him his third draw in an FCB uniform, the most of any goalkeeper in FCB’s eight-year history.

FCB is back in action on Friday night in Cleveland before returning home for a Sunday afternoon meeting with Syracuse FC. It’s a 2 p.m. kickoff, and you can get tickets here for just $7.
