Coach Murphy earns collegiate honor

FC Buffalo head coach Brendan Murphy has added a new line to his already impressive resume.

Murphy, who enters his third season as FCB boss this May, has been named 2014 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference coach of the year after shepherding D’Youville College to its first ever playoff appearance.

“We’re thrilled, but not surprised to see Coach Murphy honored by his peers at the AMCC,” said FC Buffalo co-owner Nick Mendola. “His dedication is matched only by his soccer mind, and we’re glad the conference has noted what we already knew: Brendan Murphy is one of the best young coaches in America.”
